FAQ, Ordering & Shipping

Can I put the pottery in the dishwasher, microwave, oven & is it food safe?

All of the functional pottery, except the Georgia Red Clay (terracotta color), can be put it in the dishwasher, microwave, freezer…even your oven! Just avoid sudden temperature changes, like taking a bowl out of the fridge and putting it in a 350* oven or putting a hot dish into a sink of cold water. This is called “thermal shock” and can shatter your piece. Pieces used in your oven should always be placed in a cold oven so they can gradually heat along with the oven. With just a little extra care, stoneware is very durable and should last for years.

How do I order?

To place an order, simply click the ‘Order Here’ tab at the top of the website. Please reference an image # from the website (you may choose a different glaze color from another item if you would like). Or you can describe your custom order.  I will be in touch with you to establish a good understanding of what you’d like.  Please indicate your preferred method of payment.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit cards and Paypal are acceptable forms of payment. You do not need a Paypal account to use this invoicing system. I will simply email an invoice to you to process payment.

How long will it take to receive my order?

If the item is in stock and you reside in local area, I can arrange for quick pick up time, otherwise shipping will take 7-10 days.

For uniquely handmade custom orders, delivery to your door can take up to 4-8 weeks, depending on the size of the piece.

I will communicate a more definite time after we establish the size and detail involved in the piece.

How is my order shipped or can I pick it up?

If you are in the local area, pick up arrangements can be made.
If shipping is needed, UPS ground will be used. Faster shipping available on request and paid when order is placed. Tracking # available on request.

What if my order doesn’t look exactly the same as the web images?

Everything I make is handmade piece by piece. Due to the nature of handmade goods slight variations do occur. Each glaze batch and each kiln firing also create slightly different color results as well. If you are interested in a set of something, please custom order it and it will all be thrown, glazed and fired together -assuring a better match.

Also, sizes are approximate.  I do my best to create pieces to your specifications, but several variables cause shrinkage rates to vary slightly during the drying/firing processes.

What if I want to return something?

If the item arrives and is not as described in the item description or you simply would like to return it, you may return it for a full refund (not including shipping charges) or exchanged for something else within 30 days. Being a handmade item there will be slight variations in size and color and this must be taken into account.
In the case of all returns you will be responsible for return shipping charges. Please return in original package as to keep the pottery protected. Please purchase insurance for returns. Your money will be refunded once the piece safely arrives.
